I can't stand Facebook. Not sure why anyone would want to be member of that garbage site that sacrifices personal security and privacy in favour of the mighty $.

I finally had to quit following the FB GD Owners page. Most of the folks are civil, but lately, there has been some real stinkers on there.

Don't have a Facebook account and don't plan on getting one. My wife has one that every once in a while she'll show me something on it and I realize how much I don't want an account. I belong to a 4 wheel drive forum that specializes in Land Cruisers and sometimes some of the threads get out of hand. All in all you can get good technical advice and ideas can be tossed around, same as this site. There will always be different schools of thought on how to do things and a good open forum is a great way to bring out new ideas.

Chris--thank you, for setting the mission and tone for this site early on and to moderators and users for being respectful, helpful, and having a little fun along the way. Too much crap out there these days allowing people to flex their digital muscles w/o regard for others.

I agree with you, Jim. I'm on it but I'm not liking where it's going and, as I've said here before, if it or even this site were to go the direction of RV.net (there, I said it) I will be out. FB already has way too many posts to keep track of. I doubt I will be there much longer.

No worries guys... the moderator was asked to close the thread and she did! It appeared to be some troll looking to cause trouble. I've seen that happen on this forum and they were sent packing too.

I don't do the Facebook thing. More of a RV.net type. I have been using it for over 10 years. Better info on tech type stuff. I have to admit my Wife picked up on recall on 355 TH axle on Facebook. Things change with time. Not that I like it !

Navigator - I've seen several threads on the FB page now that have gone in a bad direction. It's more than one person, and all of them are still showing as members. I asked the mods to close the thread you saw today, and they did. I haven't removed myself from that group, but I have quit receiving notices, and will not follow it on a routine basis now.
