    Washer dryer question

Wife and I are looking at toy haulers and will want a washer and dryer. Most hook ups are in the garage. Is there vent to the outside for dryer or does it have to be an unvented dryer?

You can get either a vented or non vented model, your choice. While the vented models do not come with a vent, an extra charge, I highly recommend the vented machines - much better drying performance and no moisture inside, never a good thing with RV's.

Thanks for the quick reply. For clarification, I know I can get a dryer either way but do you know if any of the GD toy haulers have a dryer vent or access to one. Would I have to drill a hole in the side?

If you use the search function and search "custom dryer vent" you can see the thread I started and how I made a vent in the garage for the dryer.

A hole has to be drilled for the vent to be installed.

GDRV usually marks the position to drill the hole.

They dont have markings in the Momentums, at least not the ones where the washer is in the middle of the garage wall.

We've had a non-vented model for several years now and moved it to our Momentum. While we don't use all the time, I can say that I haven't noticed any increase in moisture while it is running. It does take a while to run (2+ hours) given it is a combo washer/dryer, but it works for what we need and has saved us on long trips. We travel for our kids sports and it definitely has come in handy to clean stinky softball uniforms for the next day!
