    DC to DC questions

I have a Ford with 200amp alternator. I keep seeing lithium batteries can burn it up?

1st questions without running a dc to dc

    1. Won't the 7 pin connection limit actual volts? (Not using DC to dc)

    2. If not, will it limit voltage when batteries are fully charged (while driving) or put out max voltage no matter soc?

    3. Anyone running without one that can confirm.....?

I am only looking at 2 Lithium batteries, not a large bank......

    Thanks,

    Jim

Your 7-pin has a 15A fuse. The trailer batteries can’t draw any more current than that. Voltage isn’t a concern. It is essentially the same everywhere in the system.
