ID:	23669Garage ramp stuck in closed position. Locks turned in proper unlock position.
Suspect it’s the counter weighted cables jammed.

    Any takes or cures?

    3 month old unit.
We’re just now at our holiday camp and dead in the water.

    It is stuck tight.

    Thanks if any cures.

When was the last time you had the ramp down?

The seals tend to stick to the frame if you didn't have it down for awhile.

Have someone push from the inside, up high if possible (in the upper corners).

We have the same problem on the lot until we use the sealant conditioner on the seals.

    Called Grand Design.
They gave me a reference number and said to take it in after the Holiday.
It’s a poorly designed Lippert system instead of the reliable spring system of the past.

Our Holiday is officially over the hour it started.

Thanks but if you push on the door hard enough the seals let sunlight in all the way around.
Ramp was down yesterday when we loaded the 2020 398m.
    It’s the new Lippert system.
I got online others are having the problem with the Lippert too.
The entire frame and door has to be removed.
    Holiday over.
I’ll have to go into town and rent a flatbed trailer to take the SXS and quads home then return and get the RV. In the snowstorm.

Boy o boy does this ever suck.
    Holiday over.
Don’t buy a unit with the Lippert system folks.
    Ya want spring loaded hinges.

Have they changed the design? This is the first I've ever heard of this problem. I'm guessing the cable that holds the ramp up got wedged somewhere or the part that gives it the easy assist must be jammed up somehow. Have you considered calling a mobile tech, or are you for sure the frame and door need to be removed?

    Steve,

Which sealant conditioner do y'all use?

The stuck closed door is blocking the capped access openings.
The door will no doubt need to be removed to get to the Lippert hardware.
No way we can do all that here in Death Valley.
Two trips in a row we had to return home due to equipment issues.
    10 week old 398 m.

Thanks for all your tales. Much appreciated.
We made an appointment take it in next week.

I'm really sorry to hear about your trip. That does suck.

We have been very glad we bought our trailer before the Lippert One Control system was available, and I thought that was as bad as it could get. This makes us even more thankful we bought when we did.
