    Hot water check valve

How do you get to the back side of the water heater? I need to replace the check valve because I have no hot water pressure on any of the faucets. I have a Reflection 312BHTS tow behind. Where is the hot water heater access panel?

Not sure how to access back of water heater on your model but you might check to be sure your outside "shower" valves are closed and not cross feeding.

Done all of that. No hot water at the outside shower either. One thing for sure is when I find the check valve it will be removed and not replaced.

I would check to make sure my hot water bypass was not on.

dbrien - You are receiving suggestions for solving cold water at the hot water faucets . . . but, if your problem is no water (hot or cold) at these faucets, you are on the right track looking for a faulty check valve.

A way to “prove” that this is the problem is to put the water heater on bypass which will bypass the check valve as well and should provide cold water to the hot faucets.

If you remove the check valve as you state is your plan, you will not be able to winterize the system using the water heater bypass feature.

Some water heater installations have 1/4 turn lever valves at the water heater. If your system was working correctly before towing, it is possible that one of these valves “bounced” closed while travelling.

I finally located the hot water check valve. I had to remove the drawers below my closet to access the check valve. Pulled out the check valve insert and now I have hot water to all the faucets. What is the advantage of the water heater bypass feature?

The water heater bypass allows you to winterize the hot water side of the plumbing system with antifreeze, without having to fill the water heater with antifreeze.

I don't believe that you should put antifreeze in the hot water tank. I usually just blow out the lines.

I have a problem - the hot water now coming in a trickle, all areas, kitchen, bathroom sink and shower. If I shut it off and turn it back on it will sometimes come back to a fuller force but nothing like it was before. Could this be the hot water check valve has broken or is it a backflow prevention valve that may now be defective? I have looked at the hot water heater panel (from the outside) but do not see anything I can change. I have a 2016 Reflections.

It is possibly the check valve on the hot water heater. If you look at Cate&Rob's post earlier in this set of posts Rob outlines a way of confirming if it is the check valve.
