    Tacoma/Seattle area RV Park/Resort Recommendations

Hello all! We are traveling to the Tacoma/Seattle area in April to visit our college age boys for Spring Break. We've stayed at the KOA in Kent, but do not recommend it. Tried to make a reservation at Midway RV Park in Centralia, but they have an RV group that has rented the park for the week. Anybody have any suggestions? We're traveling from California so would hope not to have to go through Seattle to settle in, but at this point we may not have any choice.

    Thanks!

You may want to look at Tolt MacDonald county park. All the sites are semi-circle open grass. No sewer and the dump station is in a car wash with very tight entry, I dumped at my next campground.

Last year we stayed at the Washington State Fairgrounds. It's not fancy and you're parking on grass, but it's full hookups and I think we paid around $20-$30 a night. It's located in Puyallup, so not too far from Seattle/Tacoma area.

*Now that I think about it, I would call first. I know they have sites that aren't subject to standing rain water, but I would call to make sure they are available.

If you do not mind a commute I would highly recommend Little Creek Casino RV Park in Shelton. We were there for the State Fair and loved the park. I too would avoid the Seattle KOA like the plague, cannot believe it is still in the KOA system.

Belfair state park on the kitsap peninsula. Easy access to the ferry into seattle in southworth that lands at fauntleroy. Nice park. Full hookups available and some sites are right on the water.
