    3 air conditioners

the 380th we are considering purchasing has 3 air conditioning units (we are in Texas). If we are on 50 AMP service, can we run all 3 at one time?

I think it would be okay on a 50 amp line. You may have to do some "power management" with other systems (elec water heater, microwave, wifes hair dryer, etc) when all three A/C's are running.

Won't be any issue on a 50A service site which will provide two - 50A 120V legs to the power supply of your camper. The A/C will draw 15A each at the most. Two of the A/C will be wired to one leg of the panel so you may have see what other devices are also wired on that side. If you have the misfortune of being on a 30A site, you'll only be able to run one A/C.

A 50 amp service is 50 amps at 240V. (Two 50 amp 120V breakers in both the power supply post and in the trailer breaker box). Thus, you actually have 100 amps of 120V power available. As long as all three AC units are not on the same 50 amp breaker, there should be no problem running all three. If all three have been wired to the same side of the panel (same 50 amp breaker) . . . you might have a problem running all three at the same time.

The 3 A/C set up will not run all 3 at once, by design.

It will cycle through all 3 units to maintain temperatures.

Is that so you can cool each area by running all 3 A/C separately even if you only have 30A service?

I have a 385TH with 3 ACs and can run all 3 at one time. I do it regularly with no issues. I looked at a Cyclone and was told by the dealer that you could only run two at a time on it but when I bought my Momentum I was told I could run all three. So the first trip in it as soon as I got set up I turned on all three units to cool it down quick and it worked perfect.

Did you physically take notice whether or not all 3 compressors where working at the same time?

Most will still run the fans, but will cycle the compressors so they don't pull too many amps at one time....

Yes all three compressor were running. The main unit is a 15K BTU and the other two are 13.5K BTU. According to the load management system the main unit draws about 14 amps and the other two draw about 12 amps each. I don't know how accurate the readings are on it though. The load management system staggers the starting of the units but does allow for all three to run. I don't think the electric element on the water heater would be able to come on though. I know the washer and dryer outlets were load sheded but I can't remember on the water heater.
