I have a F250 with a large stainless box in the bed so getting a 5th wheel has been out of the question and now we have a 37' TT.

I discovered by chance a guy who makes a tag axle out of a F450 front axle and when I trade trailers I will most likely be able to move up to a 5th wheel. As I read the posts here I thought this might interest someone since it would eliminate the bed rail issue. I have no affiliation with the company just think it is a solution to my problem.

I agree. Cost would be a HUGE factor. I bet backing would take some serious getting used to as well. I mean, why get a fifth wheel trailer and tow it with a really expensive modified bumper hitch tag-a-long trailer. Really?

I had a friend that looked into this, and if I remember correctly, north of 10K for that unit.

My issue is pretty much resolved at this point but I still have a dog in this fight with RAM and if anything comes of it I will post here. I would like to consider this thread done. Thanks for everyones input and suggestions, it was greatly appreciated.
