Floor damage from slide roller.
We have a 2018 GD Reflection 337 RLS. Midsummer I noticed a small mark in the linoleum on the left slide just at the rear of the kitchen island witch would be the center roller of the slide. Well by they time we got home from your trip it had pushed down hard enough to put a 4”tear in the floor. I called the Dealer and set up a appointment for repair. Hope they can get the slide rollers right so it does not happen again. They also said the would replace the flooring. Any body else have this happen to them?

Hi! goober. Yes I noticed a rub mark on our vinyl flooring near the same area as yours on our last trip in October. We have not used it since but I have an appointment with the dealer on Dec.19 weather permitting. The dealer is about 90 miles away. I hope they can make an adjustment before it ends up as bad as yours. We are heading out after the first of the year for a trip South.

Yes we also had planes to head South the first of next year but Dealer didn’t have a opening till the 8th of Jan. They say 3 weeks for repair. It will probably be more than that. May be able to get out of town in February.

There have been many posts on the slide causing floor damage, if you want to read on it you can do a search using the search box on the right side not quite at the top

I've had this happen. A mobile service came out to the house to repair under warranty. As for adjustment, I adjusted 2 bolts which pitch the slide. As of this day I place a thin piece of cardboard under the ends as an insurance policy before moving the slide. I did test it and it was fine but i'm not willing to go thru that again.

Ha, Banshee94 We also have warranty on the RV. We have a excellent mobile service that we have used but we are not far from the Dealer and have good service from them also. I looked at the link that WhittleBurner put up. Looks like we are not the only ones with this problem.

I had same issue this year with a Reflection 303 2018 model manufactured in late 2017. If you look at previous posts on this issue, it looks like it affects 2018 models mostly. I had been to Lippert for annual service and they had said nothing was wrong with my slide adjustment. A couple of months after was at the Hot Springs rally and a GD tech slightly adjusted the angle to keep middle roller from gouging the floor. I use a piece of plexiglass under the roller to mitigate further damage. That adjustment worked for 2 cycles then gouged the plexiglass.
It appears that GD did not add a one inch floor to my model year they used 3/4 floor. We are fulltime and it is not going to a dealer or we will be homeless for months until they get to it. GD is allowing us to go to the factory this summer to get a new one inch floor put in and fix the lino. I don’t know if they will also change the rollers.
I would call GD with vin number and ask what flooring your unit was made with on that slide. It might be an adjustment issue if it was addressed back then.Vivian

Even if your RV is out of warranty (2018), get with Grand Design and press the issue. While on a factory tour, I talked to the guide about this issue and he said it would be addressed for sure. This is a known assembly issue with that year production. If possible, I would suggest having it done at the factory. They do it regularly. It may require your dealer to do a preliminary inspection first.
