I suppose that would work though I don't see any advantage of them over a portable 1500W ceramic heater.

You should be able to install a heat pump, on your own. Your dealer should be able add one or take AC out and install a heat pump. It might be a stand alone unit for garage area only and have it's on controls, but the dealer should be able to tell you all that for sure.

I asked when mine was ordered about a heat pump in the garage or the heat strip option like Fuzion has. Neither were available, but placing a small heater in the garage gets the job done.

WE had a heat strip added to our AC on another trailer and loved it. Do not know if we will be able to have one added in the garage of our on order 350, but will certainly be checking into it. I would much rather that than to have a heater sitting around , especially if I had kids bunking back there.

In our previous trailer, the AC was Duo-Therm and the heat strip worked great. We researched today and it appears that the AC s in the Grand Design products do not take a heat strip, nor do ducted AC s take heat strips. I guess that ends our research at this point. I am leerey about a heat source that can be knocked over or one that could have bedding or flamable items placed nearby in an unsupervised area with young folks around, so will research somthing that can perhaps be mounted up higher-any ideas?

I'm going to add a second a/c unit to my Reflection fiver. Can I install a heat pump in the back and move the current back a/c unit to the bedroom?

What brand heater did you get and where did you get it? Thanks for the info.
