    Cool Ordered a new truck

Ok so I just ordered a 2020 F450 Platinum to tow the Solitude. I've been very happy with the F350 but it didn't have a few features I wanted. The new one will have the dual alternators for a total of 397 amps output and the rapid cab heater (the upgraded alternators are free with this option) and will NOT have the big sunroof like the F350. I'm most excited about the new higher output 6.7 and the 10 speed tranny. The pro trailer backup thing will be fun to use as well.I also ordered the factory trailer camera/ TPS kit and will get that installed on the Solitude. The truck won't be here until March so the wait will be painful but worth it. I am amazed at the resale value on the F350, pretty hard to lose money on these late model diesels if you take care of them. Will post pics when new one is here.

The new F450 sounds great. I think you'll also like the F450's ability to turn sharper when you maneuver in parking lots and when parking your trailer. When a new model truck comes out, Ford's order banks and production slots are quickly taken--which means it's going to take a little longer to special order a SuperDuty. But the wait will be worth it.

Thanks Gary, yes I am beyond excited. I drove one at work and the new diesel with 4:30 gears is a monster!

Great choice! You definitely will enjoy the wider track front end that does improve the turning radius. We have a F550 shop truck with a 16’ flatbed and I am amazed at how maneuverable it is. March probably isn’t so bad for a delivery date. We live very near Louisville where the Super Duty is built. They have been building the 2020 models but Detroit hasn’t allowed them to ship to the dealers yet so they are parked in vacant lots all over the place around here. Congratulations!

I'm pretty sure you're going to be one of those guys that looks back at his truck after parking it and smiles! Congrats on a beautiful rig!
