Unplug Refrigerator in Winter
Is it wise to unplug the refrigerator for the winter? The trailer has been winterized with anti-freeze, not sure on the refrigerator. Thanks.

What would unplugging it do?

I agree with huntr70. I've had trailers for almost 30 years and 25 of those years living in Colorado. Never had to "winterize" the refrigerator. I've also just kept the door ajar with a cloth or towel to prevent mold from growing.

Hold on a minute!
If your refrigerator has an ice maker, you DO need to winterize it!
Go outside, open the refrigerator compartment and disconnect the connection from the supply solenoid to the inside (evaporator).
Run RV antifreeze through the supply line to the solenoid by energizing the solenoid until anti-freeze comes out.
If you can't prop the door open, toss CLOROX wipes onto every shelf in your refrigerator and freezer (to prevent mold) and Voila!
