    Signing Saturday...369RL

    Hi all,

The wife and I planned on moving to a FW in 2015 when we purchased our travel trailer a few years back. Over the past 2 years we have been looking at many different floor plans, manufacturers and speaking with FW owners during our travels.

Grand Design was not even on the long list during these past couple of years. Top of our list was a Montana then a Pinnacle. After returning to our travel trailer dealer to look at our favorite Montana floor plan we discovered they are no longer a Montana dealer (still other Keystone models). Our sales rep introduced us to Grand Design and we were impressed with the different areas of details over the Montana.

Like most, Grand Design owners are few and far between today so research was challenging. I finally reached out to the service manager at our dealer who we have come to know well over the past years. His comments were the turning point for us to put the Solitude on our short list. It seems the Montana warranty work was becoming quite a scheduling challenge in their shop (the largest in the upper midwest). The comments from Solitude owners about the personal attention they receive from Grand Design is a testament to the owners' passion to reconnect with their customers. Doing something different is refreshing.

Fast forward to today and we have decided on the Solitude 369RL. We sign the papers this Saturday and are very excited for the 2015 camping season to get underway.

    More to come....

Congatulations on your decision. We too have the 369RL, #303 off the line so it was before they started making anything else. Ours is of very good quality, no unnecessary trips to the dealer for unexpected repairs. We've traveled a little bit so far, we both retired this past Spring. We're in SE Michigan Monroe county. This will be our third season and our first extended trip, FL for January. Following this forum for awhile, you'll read some gripes and concerns. But overall we're all very pleased with our rigs, so you should be alright with yours. Good Luck.

Congrats on your choice of a 369. After almost two years of ownership, we are still loving ours. Grand Design, as a company, has shown us that their commitment to customer service is one of the best in the industry. A responsible dealer and having a good relationship with them is key since they are usually your first point of contact if a problem with the rig occurs. We've had a few problems with the rig (what new RV doesn't) along with bad service from the dealer, but nothing that Grand Design couldn't resolve to get us back on the road in a reasonable amount of time.

    Happy Camping!

Welcome to the forum Barb and Lyle! Congratulations on your decision to go with the Solitude 369, we love ours and I bet you guys are going to love yours. Like Andy and Julie, we have had ours almost 2 years and have had very few, like 2 or 3 warranty issues. We are planning on full timing in ours starting in 2015.
