My 2013 F250 has a significantly lower bed capacity than an F350. I am not sure where you got the information that they are the same. I bought the 250 because I planned to buy a 303. Then GD came out with the 337 and my wife liked the larger bath and the king bed. King bed was a mistake. No room to make up the bed and had to get in bed by crawling in from the end. One short trip and it was replaced with a queen (cut the plywood platform down to fit).

Ford makes a lot of truck spec info available on their website. Even past model years can be found.

F250 and F350 payloads are definitely different.
The attached link also references tailgate height for different models.
Ram may have similar info available, but I have never gone looking.
As I have noted in previous threads, it would be quite easy to build an F250 without enough payload to carry even a 303. For example, I was discussing this very topic with someone towing a TT on the site next to ours. A beautiful fully loaded diesel 4x4 F250 . . . and when we checked the payload on the door label . . . just shy of 2000 lbs.
If buying off the lot, check the door label . . . If ordering, shop carefully !
Just FYI

Robert & Rob - Yep, you are both correct .... I needed a nap I guess. Actually I quit looking after reading the info on pg 2 of the Ford Spec's which is towing capacity and short circuited my brain cell with payload capacity.
What always surprises me (for unknown reasons) is the payload capacity of the diesel is less than the gas pickup (comparably built). Of course it is due to GVWR and the diesel engine weighing more than the gasoline engine. It's one of those mental block issues!
Thanks yall for helping me on that !
