    slide outs

We picked up our new 313 RLTS trailer last Friday. In the walk around, I pointed out there it appeared the slide outs were not all the way in. At the bottom on the 2 back slides, about a 3/4" gap. I was told that this is normal, the slides were all the way. I bumped the slides before we left to see if they would close up more and they would not. So the question is to all you other 313 RLTS owners, are you slides the same way? Thanks in advance, Robert

Definitely this way on all 3 reflections I have looked at. Two 5'ers and the TT, including the one I own. Dealer told me all GD were that way on their lot.

The slides on my 337 are the same way. I asked about the gap when I was at the factory, and they assured me it's normal.

I'm not sure what type of slide you are dealing with however after recently replacing the slide actuator on my main kitchen slide of the 323BHS this is a relatively easy fix if you have a single actuator that moves the entire slide. The stop can and the actual force from the slide hitting the side of the RV is what physically stops the slide from coming in resulting in the "clunking noise" that is heard when fully retracted. The stop can a can be adjusted slightly to move further away from the frame (away from the center of the RV) and it will pull the bottom of the slide in a little further. See the 323BHS slide thread in the tech corner for more details.

As long as the slide contacts the "D" seal, you should be fine.

Dirtclod--I have shared in another thread that we too have some minor areas where slides are not perfectly aligned. When in for warranty work last fall the feedback from dealer via GDRV was not a problem. I have looked at several other GDRVs over the last several months and most seem to have some minor degree of misalignment as well. I also assume fairly common to most RVs brands as well.

I have also noticed that when the RV is not level, misalignment is more severe as one would expect due to possible minor twisting. Think Tucson Jim shared some feedback on this as well. This is why our manuals from GDRV state to ensure RV is level when moving slides. Obviously if the slides are way off, they need attention. However, based on your picture, I would not sell the farm just yet.
