Hot Water Tank Anode for a 303RLS
Hey All,
Just noticed that our Hot Water Tank in our brand new 303 RLS Reflection did not come with an anode. Is this normal? Had 2 trailers before this one and each of them had a sacrificial anode that prevented the tank from corroding. This tank just has a plug.
Thanks

Depends on the brand. Many of the Atwood water heaters have fiberglass liners and do not have a sacrificial anode. I believe the Suburban water heaters require one.

Do not use an anode in your Atwood water heater.
Buy a few extra plastic plugs as you will eventually cross thread them.Steve- Inventory Manager at Tom Schaeffer's RV, Shoemakersville, PA www.tomschaeffers.com

We had the plastic plug crack on ours after having it out a few times and leaked. They're cheap, keep a couple with some Teflon tape on hand and your'e good to go.

Wow - That was fast - Gotta Love this Site!
Thanks all for the responses - Looks like I'll be shopping for a few spare plugs.
