I guess it was that we were a "motivated buyer" and already had everything lined up except the VIN for the new one.

I know that he isn't in your neighborhood, but Clint @ Lazenby (IIRC) was also great to work with when we were trying to walk the deal down.

We bought Imagine from Campers Inn in Acworth, GA. We got best price from Northgate RV at Ringgold, GA and got Campers Inn to match price because they were an hour closer to our home, however we never had to return camper to dealer for warranty work. GD would send me parts and I would do the few warranty repairs myself much quicker than having to take it to dealer.

X2. That is where we bought our 5er last April. We like dealers who allow potential customers to peruse their inventory without having to drag a salesman along. They leave you alone to shop and are more than willing to help when/if you have any questions. Even though they are 3.5 hours from home, they will be first on our list when we upgrade to a larger unit.

I live an hour away from Campers Inn in Macon Ga. my 2016 337 developed cracks in the fiberglass on the bedroom slide. Called and made an appointment and was told what day to bring in. was told repairs would take about two weeks and scheduled a day to pick it up .Called the day before going to pick it up and was informed they did not have my camper there. After conversations with several management people I was informed it was located in what they called the graveyard . after apologizing for mix up I was told by the manager it was in there body shop being worked on and it would be two more weeks. Called back in two weeks and they had not started on it at all .Asked for the manager I had spoken with earlier and was told he was no longer there. Got a new manager and explained to him what I was told about it being in the body shop. Was informed they didn't have a body shop they had a local man came by to do there fiberglass work. Called Grand Design and they called and talked to the dealer and they quoted me another week. After that week I picked it up still not repaired. Started doing business with a dealer 3 hours from my house . Been rving 30 years and never had this terrible service before and they acted like they did not care . may have changed since then but I would beware!!

We bought our 2020 Imagine 2600RD at the Macon store from Jody. I wanted to see what one looked like and Jody called when one came in from the factory. I checked it out and told Jody I'd bring the wife down on Saturday. There was a few others interested after I looked at it, but they held it for us until my wife looked it over and agreed it was what we wanted. Set up for pickup on the following Wednesday with a set appointment for a full walk through. Whole walk through/paperwork took just over 2 hours.

We took the camper out for a shakedown and found a few items for warranty (CD player squealed, one cargo door was not aligned). Set up a service appointment and dropped it off. They were able to replace the cargo door and ordered a replacement Jensen AM/FM/CD. Also upgraded the suspension (wet bolt and Road Armor). We picked up the camper a week later (taking it out over Christmas) while then waited for the Jensen. Found a few other warranty issues (trim piece was loose, screen door latch on the door wouldn't lock onto screen, plus a few other minor issues) and took it in after the first of the year. All taken care of and the Jensen replaced.

I've found the Macon store to be very friendly, helpful and straight up. Jody help the unit for my wife to look at. We were given a fair price on our trade (2016 Jayco purchased at Camping World with a $699 fee because they feel entitled to charge it as I was paying cash) CampersInn sale price was upfront, without extra fees. Service and parts are extremely helpful. Having dealt with Camping World and other dealers, this is like night and day. And this is the day.
Another benefit we found was the 10% discount on parts and the $10/hour off for service.

Here's a follow up on what has happened, or rather not happened with me. There were a couple of 351M they had listed, a 19 and 20. I initially was called over last weekend by an"internet specialist" who confirmed what my requests were and said she would forward the requests, build sheets etc., to the appropriate person. On Monday was contacted by a sales rep from the Tucker GA store who did send the sheets and promised to send a photo of the weight sticker on the side of the trailer. That's to know real weights not published generic weights. We had some conversation and I told him I wasn't in a rush but would buy off the right deal was there. NO further contact even after I wrote a different "internet specialist" asking to be put in touch with someone from Macon. NO contact. Basically it looks like if they don't think a sale is going to happen within the next few minutes, they aren't interested. That's lazy sales staff. They are off my list

We bought our 2930rl in Sept from Meyers RV in Syracuse NY. They’ve been great to deal with so far. Storing our unit until Spring ( no extra charge) and service dept was excellent to work with when we added the w/d and slide toppers. Can’t wait for Spring to arrive !!
