Appreciate the feedback as shackles is used generically probably referencing the spring hangers as you shared. While there have been a couple/few posts on shackles failing this is rare. I have updated my post accordingly to be more accurate. Thank you !

I have received clarification; my issue is indeed the spring hanger.

Photos of the broken spring hanger would help a lot. Most of the hanger failures have been on reflections I believe.

I believe Grand Design has designed a spring hanger gusset. You might want to contact them. KEN

I have a 303rls and was told by the dealer that the left (port) side was heaver due to the appliances and pantry being on that side. While the recliner is heavy the loaded pantry and fridge are heavier. We were told that is why the left slide is only 24" vs 36" on the right. It would make sense from a design standpoint as the right side of the road is almost always rougher than the left side of the lane.

My mechanical skills are limited, but fortunately, the independent repair shop I have used is only a couple of miles from where I store my unit. Dropped it there on Friday, will keep folks here posted as to how things proceed. I feel very good about this shop, but am open to any questions I should be asking.
Just me...but I would replace all of the shackles with the heavy duty ones and wet bolts. I'd also have them weld a plate on the hangar back sides (opposite side the spring enters) boxing in the hangars, which will add significant rigidity.
