    Does that let you run 17.5" rims, or still stock wheels but with a better bearing pack on the 7K axle? I'm putting in the Comfort Ride in the next few weeks on my 351M and would consider upgrading the bearings and studs if it doesn't mean all new rims.

    The 17.5" rims and wheels actually sit a hair lower on the overall diameter than the OEM 16" setup

    My dealer advised today to add in the disc brake option on my yet-to-be-built 310GK will be $2950 (MSRP = $3300). Does that sound reasonable? Thanks!

    That's basically the same price MORryde charges so it seems reasonable.

    I have a message into GD to find out more about this disc brake option. I did get the spec sheet (attached) from my dealer. Looks l like Dexter brakes? I'm just trying to better understand exactly what I'm getting for this $2950 upgrade. Any comments? Thanks!

    My understanding is that there were only a couple companies doing disc brakes for trailers and they are all now owned by Dexter

    orbsah,
    You are getting them because:
    > they stop your trailer much, much, much better than drum brakes ever will (same reason automobiles & trucks use them);
    > you don't have to adjust them (or worry about their adjustment);
    > when you step on your tow vehicle's brakes you KNOW that your trailer brakes are are stopping your trailer; not your tow vehicle.
    > when it is time to service them it is easier than electric drum brakes
