This is great information. When we first hooked up our Reflection on our friend's property, he had to change the voltage to 50 from 30. He did it and then we plugged our rig in and all of a sudden, 10 days later, one entire half and partial 2nd half of our rig was fried. He had miswired and 220 volts was coming in to the place! The power surge strip that was connected to a desktop computer started sparking and then no electricity. It was scary since it was a brand new rig, how much was that going to cost? Plus, we couldn't get it to a dealership to fix it as we had no truck!! Trying to find someone to come out to the country was tough. We did get lucky and the only major appliance we lost was our washer/dryer combo. Luckily, we got that fixed for around $500 and the service charge of $300. Frig and stove and TV where OK as they were on the 'good' side!
My point of all this is the realization ....do we need a power surge protector for the pole side as well as the 50A plug?
