Slide out topper awning on a 2250RK
Every time I put the slide out in or out I wonder if it will make it. It seems to labor and there is a thumping sound on the left side. I want to put a slide out topper awning and wonder if this will over tax the motors. What experiences has other s had ?

The year of your camper will help with answering. In general, slides make noise and funny sounds. The concern becomes when it sounds differently than when new. Thumps can be nothing more than the seal flipping over as it extends, especially when maintained less than ideal. However, it could also be an indication of needing adjustment. Have the sounds changed?
As for a topper, nothing more than a beefed up window shade. Heavier vinyl, roller and spring, but same concept. Shouldn't overtax any modern slideout mechanism when properly installed.Rob & Nikki + Cloverfield

This is an 2018 Imagine 2250RL. I have installed and had installed slide toppers on two of my six previous RV's --the two 36' Titaniums, by the now defunct Glendale. In downsizing and the newer RV's the quality and workmanship doesn't seem to match the cost. I thank you for your comeback --it is appreciated.
