Pop Up Television in Imagine 2670MK

Well--we thought we wanted a 2600rb but now like the floor plan of the 2670mk better. Not being "tech savvy" we are concerned about the reliability of the pop-up television in the 2670mk. Have any of you 2670mk owners had any problems with it? Thank you.

No problems here and we put it up and down just about every day.

It's a super simple design. Uses a threaded rod with a reversing motor.

You could run it with a 9 volt battery if you had to.

There are a whole lot of Grand Design trailers out there with (I'll guess) exactly the same mechanism that you have, a small motor at the bottom turning a long threaded screw that raises and lowers the TV.

We have it too - no issues. We found ours to be a bit noisy and lubed the long screw with a PTFE silicone lubricant. Easy to do and likely prolongs the life of the motor.

I've read a *whole* lot of the posts here for the past two years and seen only one report of the mechanism failing. Motor burned out... lubrication of the rod *might* have forestalled that.
