    Momentum 351M pin weight "poll".

Hi y'all! Taking a "poll" here from 351M owners as to what kind of pin weights they are getting. Preferable with a Harley in the garage, and maybe full timing as well. We are fixin" to move from a 315rlts to a "M" and am now shopping 5th wheel hitches for my F-350 ccsb 11.5 gvwr 6.7 4x4 with a 3325 payload capacity.
    Thank you!!!

3000lbs for me, almost right on the nose, when I picked it up from the dealer. Genny, a little bit of fuel (not much). No water in any tank, no waste in any tank, nothing in the garage. Goosebox, so no 5er in the bed.

Since all of them come with different options that can adjust the weights, look in the packet that has the books for everything. In there is a weight sheet from the factory which includes the pin weight. Keep in mind it doesn't include the battery and LP but that won't add too much. I saw a 351m and 381m specd how I like here in Atlanta and both came in about 100lbs less than what is posted on Grand Design website. I was expecting to see it higher than the website like other brands.

That should be the actual weight as it sits from factory. Add all dealer adds for final number.

You should have had also had a number of the unloaded weight as well.

This was the 351M I was looking at. Click image for larger version.

The 2794 lbs of pin is for an EMPTY trailer. The 351M has a GVWR of 16,800 lbs and if you are loaded to that weight or pretty close to it, expect the pin weight to be at least 3360 lbs, and quite possibly more. Putting a "Toy" in the garage will light the pin weight slightly, but not significantly. If you load the trailer to the GVWR, and even with a 1000 lbs of Harley in the garage, you are very likely to be over the payload capacity of the truck. Anything and everything that goes in/on the truck will reduce the amount of available payload, so if you are starting out at 3325 lbs of payload, you will be slightly over if the trailer is at the GVWR. You would also have to deduct the weight of the hitch from that 3325 number, as well as let's say a toolbox in the bed of the truck, passengers in the truck, firewood, extra fuel..........anything and everything that goes in/on the truck takes away from that 3325 lb number.

NO toy in garage, Both fuel tanks full, no water or waste,650lbs or so of stuff, our PIN is 2880lbs, gross 14760lbs. With the H-D in the garage our PIN is 2760, gross about 15960. You lose roughly 100lbs PIN per 1000lbs added to the garage. I use the Andersen hitch.
