If you go to Sailuns web site they have an inflation guide. Just because it a G rated tire that holds 110psi, doesn't mean you have to inflate them to the max. Weight your trailer, when loaded, and inflate it to your weight. Another plus for the G rated tire is they have much better side walls. We no longer worry about going off a curb and cutting the side walls.

I have not ever heard of a Sailun failing.

I have. We camped next to a couple last year who had one fail within 500 miles of installation. He still commented on how sturdy they were.

My bet is it was installed with a bad valve stem or not inflated properly.

Just pulled the trigger on Sailun s637s 235/85/16, 157.00 ea. Planning a short 3 hour trip and the current 3 yr old Westlakes G rated tires were starting to show cracking. Don’t want to risk a blowout. Will let you know how it goes.

I have over 3,000 miles on my Sailun 235/85/R16's. The are great tires and they still look new. I run them at 100 psi. There is full tread contact with the ground. I started loosing air quickly after they were installed because the stems were not tight. Make sure that you tighten the stems within 48 hours of installation because the stem seals will compress a little. Once I tightened them, I have not lost any air even after sitting in storage for several months. It was a personal decision, but I did not trust the Westlake tires from day one.

They have gone up about $25-30 per tire so thinking about buying them. But I cannot find any reports of the Westlake G rated tires failing.

From everything that I read and hear, the Westlake G range tires are just fine. My 28BH came with Westlake E range tires. Decided to move up to Sailun G range tires and never looked back. The Westlake E range tires are paper thin compared to the Sailun G range tires.

Sailun s637s just arrived. They have a 45/19 mfg date. Not bad. The batch that made it out of China before Wuflu. Look like very nice tires.
