GD is not authorized to change the sticker. The government agency that comes in and certifies the trailers would have to do it. I asked Gerry one time if that could be done for a 375. He also said there is a lot more that goes into it like the frame and other components that he didn't go into detail about. He did say getting that sticker changed would be about impossible.

I figured it was a long shot. AFAIK they use the exact same frame for both axle sets - so to me, that says if I upgrade my axles and stuff, even if no new sticker, I should be comparably capable of the higher total weight.

Which is why in another thread I questioned upgrading to 8K axles. Peace of mind knowing you’ve got some beef under there is good but this doesn’t allow you to legally carry more cargo

Frank - GDRV provides a document for the actual weights and other items for each specific RV. I suspect they still do this in some manner. It will be interesting when you get your RV to see how much difference there is between those and the average CCC you shared. Depending on options and factory rolling build changes, they are most often different from the website or brochures average numbers, as one would expect.

Here is our weight document which also of course, matches the yellow payload sticker (pic. attached too) on the street side of each RV.

I keep the 385 fully packed with all the stuff I must have an a lot more stuff I probably don’t really need. With a generator, pancake compressor and 2 40lb propane tanks, a fully stocked kitchen, plus the usual trip supplies, my trailer weight was 15500 (3200 pin weight and 12,300 axle weight. The gvw from factory was 13994. I don’t have a pound to spare on the truck capacity but I’m good on the solitude limit of 16800.

Once again, I read the OP and it intrigued me. Then I read the rest of the thread and there are so many things to say about all that that my head is spinning.

To the OP... I think we all carry more than we need. All that stuff weighs more than we think it does. And YES!!! All RV's should be able to carry more than the sticker says they can.

"Goal will be to get the trailer "restickered" at 18k GVWR if possible.,"

I got that done once. I bought a couple work trailers and got the manufacturer to derate the stickers. These were new trailers and it was all done in advance. I would guess that doing it after the fact is about impossible. And a manufacturer as big as GD... Not a chance.
