We installed a 12" Zinus memory foam last year and love it. Checked prices on Amazon and Wal Mart, and ended up getting it from WM.

What, the factory mattress not good enough?!

We bought a Casper foam mattress, very happy with it. It has many competitors now, some offering lower prices.

IIRC the weight of ours is about 75 pounds.

We put a topper on ours. Actually tried a Zinus 3", which the DW did not like. Then went to a LEISURE TOWN Queen Mattress Pad Cover Cooling Mattress Topper. DW liked it A LOT so we stayed with it. I really think it depends on what you want out of it. I was fine with the Zinus, but went with what she wanted. I do not regret that decision....

Foam Memory topper from Sams Club. Not like home but far and away an improvement over the "Denver mattress" alone.

We bought a 3” topper from Costco, probably just like the Sams club one. Cost was much better than a new mattress, added 17lbs.

Did you use the search function on the forum prior to starting this thread? There are dozens of threads on this topic.

As for us, my wife and I agree that our Tuft & Needle mattress is the best we've slept on in our lives (and I have three bad lumbar discs and arthritis elsewhere). Just be aware that, any foam mattress other than TempurPedic requires a ventilating substrate over the plywood platform to prevent condensation and mold/mildew:
