    Brainstorming Ottawa Canada trip

Been thinking on where to go for a couple weeks this up- coming summer for family vacation. Son said tonite he wanted to see some of Canada. So brainstorming a possible trip up to Ottawa. Does anyone have any suggestion on camp sites near Ottawa too stay at, plus maybe any campsites that have ATV trails to ride on near Ottawa. That will hold a 385TH. Just starting the research and planning so I will be getting on computer for sure. But thought maybe someone had some suggestions. Thanks, Hootie

We stayed here in 2007. http://www.ottawaevents.ca/ottawa-municipal-campground/

Power and water only. Can't remember if there was 50 amp. Can be a fair amount of traffic noise from the freeway until later at night but that also makes it nice and easy to get into the city. Nice shaded sites, would stay there again. Can be a popular spot in the summer so it's a good idea to make a reservations

    Hi Hootie,

You are talking about our "backyard" . . . but, we never RV camp here !
We spend our summers on our "floating RV" in the Thousand Islands.
These islands in the St. Lawrence river are a great place to visit, on either the NY side or the Canadian side.
There are a number of places on this list that I recognize, but can't give first hand recommendation.

I do have friends who spend a lot of time at the Ivy Lea KOA and love it.
The Provincial park right at the Canadian end of the Thousand Islands bridge looks to be popular.
