New 5er hitch
We are about to buy a newer truck. It will be a 2017 F350. We'll be pulling a Solitude which weighs about 12,650 lbs. empty. What hitch would you recommend for that setup?

I have a B&W non slider. Its very robust. I have the 18,000# I also have a sb so I had to move mine back one hole. from the front. it's not the turning radius that will get you because i have made a serious U turn with mine. it is the off camber turns where the nose of the trailer will rise up and then there are issues with cab clearance. B&W has designed adjustability in there hitches which I like.

So I have the Reese goosebox and I really really like it. They have a 16k and 20k
Go figure it won’t let me attach the close up of the hitch but any google search will show it.
Put the first 60 miles on the trailer yesterday with this set up and it’s very comfortable and manageable. Best of all it’s really freed up my bed space.

What bed length is your new to you F350? Will impact recommendations. Also, does it have the factory puck system?

The new (for us) truck will be a 2017 Ford F350 6.7 SD, CC, LB, 4X4, 4.10 King Ranch. I would assume it has the puck system.

Another vote for the B&W. Great hitch. We have the puck system on our Ford so I have the hitch base that works with the system. Our previous truck did not have the puck system so I used a B&W single point attachment base with the B&W Turnover gooseneck hitch. I hope your truck has the factory puck and goose neck system you’ll love it. Good luck!

I'd vote for B&W as well. Solid hitch, breaks down in two pieces if/when it needs to be removed.
