Theater recliner adjustment
I remember seeing in a thread some time ago about the theater seats being adjustable for force on the foot rest. There wasn't any detail on how to make the adjustment, but mine need more upward tension. I have to hold my legs up or the foot rest falls from the weight of my legs, yea I'm a big guy.
Each foot rest has a spring on each side, and the lower end each spring has 3 holes it can be placed in. Mine were in the middle hole, so I moved them to the hole that gave the spring the most stretch.
The foot rest now work much better and actually hold the weight of my legs.2019 2970RL

Thanks great help. In my case the spring was a little too tight for my wife. My 2600RB only had one hole, but I drilled another about a ½ inch closer to the footrest on each side and now it is easier for her to close.

Thanks for posting this. I am stoked to make this change to my recliner as well.
