I'm not a huge sports fan, but you can't help but getting caught up in the Vols if you live here.

I just want to let you know that you are not the first one caught up in this dilemma. Many many of us have found the RV that we think we really love and then realized the truck we have will not do the job properly. Now what do you do? How do you justify the cost or justify the move to buy a new truck when the truck you currently own is perfectly fine.

It’s very tough decision to make, laying out money for both a new RV and truck. But in the long run, for your enjoyment and safety, you really need to go with the truck that is adequate for the job intended.

Reality check.....we had our rig CAT scaled, and came back with TOTAL weight of 29,470.....distribution of weight between axles was OK......but loaded it's a beast.....and is ONLY in DRW territory......don't ever confuse being able to MOVE something, with being able to CONTROL your rig.

The rear axle on my '17 Ram DRW is carrying 7700 lbs when towing. So the answer is no.

You’ll likley approach your rear axel rating before your payload rating

My Laramie has 3981 of payload

I still have 1,000lbs of payload left but my rear axel is 6220 of the 7000

Our trucks are nearly the same ... my front axle is 5420 rear is 3040 includes me wife 2 dogs hitch and 200 lbs firewood full tank diesel .... our camper brochure weights also nearly the same (they do not mean much need actual) I am just trying to see where I might be ..... using this http://www.towingplanner.com/ActualW...WheelCatScales your pin weight seems high for a unloaded camper 3159 lbs 25.4% . . curious how much weight is added to winterize? ... leaving you 680 lbs of payload .... your brochure pin is 19.5% again not real weight #'s ..... I think you will be within all of your capacities .... Thank You for posting much appreciated .... looking forward to getting my actual weights ... later Frank
