Why am I running out of hot water??
This afternoon I was into my normal routine of getting ready for work. Wake up, dogs out, coffee and a bagel, local news on TV website, back to other end and get uniform and bloomers and hang up in bathroom, turn on shower, open vent and turn on fan, plug sink and run hot water and drop in my shave gel and aftershave creme. Almost thru with my shower and the water starts getting cool, rinsing my hair and it gets cold. So, I start thinking and best solution I come up with is that I accidentally cut the AC to the WH when I got up and rolled in the awning and cut the lights off. I open the shower door and find the problem. Yep, you guessed it. I missed the "turn off the hot water" step at the sink.
So, I grab every towel we have and start mopping. Luckily the big rug in the shower seemed to absorb a great deal of it but I had a stream that ran out of the bathroom forward thru the bedroom to the W/D door and along the closet step up. Kelly got home a few minutes later and finished the mop up. When I left I had a 1500 watt heater in the bedroom on high with the A/C fan on and a window open. I told her to move the heater to the bathroom for about 30 minutes with the door closed and vent fan on. If she doesn't get the towels done tonight, I may take them to the laundry mat, or make a temp drying line in the carport since it is supposed to be around 70 all week.Jerry & Kelly Powell

DOH!
Change routine to "coffee and bagel and second cup of coffee." Should help.
Hopefully, all dried up well without further incident.Rob & Nikki + Cloverfield

You're not alone. I did something quite similar here at the house a few months ago. That was not fun. As my father always says , "Life is mostly self-inflicted."

My "I left the water running" story was in the winter time, came back to RV and had icicles hanging out the slide and ice flow on the steps.
Get a fan and leave it running in the area for about a week....Dallas

At least the weather is cooperating for you. We had a simular river flowing when someone did not turn off the water completely at the bathroom sink. Luckily we were hanging around. Drain plug did it's job even though no one set it to plug the drain. That was the last time I left that drain plug in the sink, it now resides under the sink unless needed.

So true.
My favorite thing to do is make my first cup of coffee without putting a cup under it. Then you have the mess and didn't even get the coffee!
