Congrats we are new Grand Design owners and JAYCO converts ourselves. We went with the 311BHS and though we have only had it a weekend we really are in love with it. Great separation in the cabin, plenty long, plenty heavy lots of space and storage that makes sense.
May I ask your tow vehicle?

Absolutely love the 4th gens and the megacab Dually. It was a choice on our short list but for the day in day out drive in the city what I have makes more sense. You’re going to love the trailer and your truck will handle it splendidly

Welcome to the forum. The 311BHS is a great choice. We did not get the 311BHS when we were looking. Our choices came down to the 311BHS, 28BH, and the 31MB. We ruled out the 28BH - DW had to have the theater seating . She agonized - literally - between the 311 and the 31MB over a week. We finally settled on the 31MB based on what we felt we wanted in a new rig. Enjoy!!!!

Welcome to the small 311BHS group. We purchased ours in 2017 and love it. We usually have 7-8 with us when we go to the coast or Kerrville, the 311 handles that group with ease. DW, Sister-in-law took a 3 week trip to Utah this September/October and it pulled like a dream, handled the mountain roads with ease and handled the cold weather better than we did. My Sister-in-law had the entire back for her room and was very comfortable and stayed warm.
One thing to be aware of is the master bedroom TV mount is probably not where the sticker is. Buy a few magnets from Lowes/Home Depot and use them to find the backer plate.
In your model I think that they have moved the "outdoor shower" closer the outdoor kitchen. Ours is in the basement so we have to fill our dish pans there and carry them to the outdoor kitchen. The outdoor kitchen sink is good for washing your hands or food prep, not much else.Les and Sharon Bevil

That's so funny we also looked at the 31MB but not intentional and loved it, that big u-shaped dinette is awesome, the 311 just fit our needs a little better!

I agree on the 31 being a great floor plan. Our decision included numbers and the mid bunk didn’t work in its current size. If they added a loft above it we might have gone that route. The next mid bunk option that was perfect was too much trailer in terms of cost and sheer weight for our 3500 SRW.
I think the 31MB is an excellent floor plan for those who have that need.
