Camp at Elk Neck every year, but it's Maryland. Nice spot and area. Crab houses, good winery not far, nice light hike to the lighthouse, and you get beach use too. There's a shooting range nearby too - make sure to bring your own target stands and no steels and pick up your brass and trash.

I've been camping at Elk Neck since the early 70's (1970s for you youngsters). Back then there were two beaches with lifeguards, the park was well patrolled, there was a funhouse (think spinning barrel in a shed) on the playground... Times have changed.

We were part of a group that did a trip around New Years every year for about 8 years until they closed the park fully and it was no longer year-round.

Our very first trip with this camper was to Elk Neck. Straight from the dealership to dry camping in the Miles Loop for a weekend.

Elk Neck varies widely depending on what loop you wind up in. We generally stick to 3 loops. The NorthEast Loop is the full hookup loop right near the entrance. Lots of good sites for RVs there. It is also a pet-friendly loop. The Chester Loop has 2 point hookup (no sewer) sites and electric only hookups if I remember right. There are some sites in that loop that accommodate larger RVs but many are suitable only for popups. The Miles loop is the dry loop, no hookup. But is wooded and waterfront (high on a hill) and a favorite destination of ours for early spring and late fall trips. The other loops I simply don't remember much about as we don't camp in them.

Elk Neck is a nice park for us. The road to get to it is a little windy. Do NOT miss the campground entrance. There are very limited selections for getting a rig turned around past it.

Woody's is good, as is Steak on Main. Lots of fun shopping and good ice cream in North East.

But as others have mentioned, it is in MD and not DE.

Elk Neck SP is in Maryland, just outside of the town of Northeast, MD. It's typically a nice quiet place, good hiking and boating/fishing if you're into that. Local crab joints, some better than others.
We've stayed there numerous times but in our former TT a Casita 17', not as yet in our 2020 2150-RB.
The new MD reservation system has been up an running since 2/13 ??? as we've made reservations for a week at Point Lookout SP.
Not sure of the age requirement but if you buy a MD Golden Age Pass you'll get 1/2 price on camping and boat launch permits as well as free day use area admittance.
We have reservations for a week at Lums, not sure of the dates though.
