Tank switch over, no work, pls advise

We switched over from the empty tank to the full tank but cannot get furnace to come on. Maybe I should have left the standby (full) tank valve open so it would have automatically switched over, however, it’s open now so I can’t figure out why it’s not starting. All suggestions appreciated.

Well, figured it out. Appears that I needed to turn thermostat to off position, wait about 1 min and turn back to furnace position, wala- all working well. Happy camping!

So glad to hear this. Had that happen once and couldn't figure it out. I gave up and the after I moved to a new campsite all worked. I always thought maybe I had a air block or something.

Lighting the cook stove will also purge the propane lines. I have had trouble in the past with the fridge and furnace not lighting after a tank exchange, they try to ignite so many times then "give up". Cycling power (or thermostat) will reset the count and they will try again.
Lighting the stove, and observing a stable blue flame lets you know the air is out of the lines.
