Coleman Mach AC 6.5” round vent upgrade questions
Would like to replace the OEM round white vents with ones that are more adjustable and can be closed off.
1) how are these measured for accurate sourcing and ordering? Mine are 6.5” OD. I cannot get the ID measurement because of #2 below.
2) what is the best way to remove the current OEM models? Are they snapped in? They seem to be installed VERY tight against the ceiling and I can’t get them out.
3) Has anyone found a good location to order them? I don’t see any 6.5” OD options on Amazon.
Any / All advice and suggestions greatly appreciated.Dave and Sue Dion

I suggest you register and go on the Grand Design owner's forum. It is owned by GD and factory reps respond to questions.
I tried to post the link but this forum's automatic censor disallowed it. It's the secure version of https with a couple of forward slashes and gdrv owners and a dot com.

You'll find many of the same posters here and there but the advantage is that 2 GD reps, Megan and Emily can give direct and factual answers. See you "over there".

I find it hard to believe the vents in a momentum don't close when our Reflection vents do. Ours swivel aand close.
Have you physically tried to close the vent?Marcy & Gary

Because in our momentum vents that are located in the bedroom and the living area or closable. They are able to be reached by hand while standing on the floor because those two rooms have the lower ceilings. In the kitchen/dinette area where the ceiling is much higher and cannot be reached without using a ladder, our momentum has vents that are not closable.

used step stool to adjust vents for direction ... the design of the vents in living area with air moving in opposite directions works well, during the PDI I moved the thermostat down to 68 and the 2 a/c's did there job ... here in Fl we do not close any vents that provide cold air later Frank
