Ouch. So what came first, the tire or the leaf spring? How did you get it fixed?

spring broke after Alaska trip
The spring went and dropped the trailer on tire.
1. Wrecker guys tied up axle with web tie down.
2. Eased it into Valley City, ND.
3. Great truck shop ordered tires.
4. I went to Fargo and got a spring that wasn't exact but close to right size.
5. Shop installed new tires (all 4 needed replacement) and spring and I was back on road in two days.
6. Back home (Atlanta) I called Lippert and they provided the correct springs at no charge.
7. I paid to have 4 new springs installed.
I had 40,000 plus miles on trailer, some pretty rough. I wonder if more careful inspection on my part would have shown the spring about to fail, cracked? Anyway I put the same Spring back on it as I like the height and the ride.
That being said the roads in AK really weren't that bad. The TOK cutoff was the worst with some significant frost heaves. I think fatigue over the long haul just got to it. Just have to slow down!
