A Little welding here and there, Alaska here we come!

We have a 2017 303RLS we are taking to Alaska this summer. In preparation I had the all four corners of the spring hangers welded with "L" brackets. Also my adapter plate for my Reese 5th wheel hitch was a bit noisy and getting worse, so I had it also welded, noise gone. Upgraded the rims to 16" and new Goodyear endurance ( had Westlake 15") tires plus added a second spare. Added a remote control for the leveler and slides, much easier when hitching or unhitching the rig. Pictures attached. This is my first post, ideas or questions?

More details on the remote upgrade would be welcome! It’s a shame you have to reinforce your own hangers but that is a great move.

Some extra large mud flaps to hold down the flying rocks is a good idea. Maybe some protection on the front of the 5'er too.

I've driven my mom and her class C up the Alcan twice and road the Harley Road King once. The road conditions are different each year. I had a very hard time washing off the calcium carbonate off the motorcycle's under carage area.

If you see flags on the side of the road, it signifies a chuck hole or heave.

Thanks Ken, will do on the rock flaps, already on order.

Justa5th, as far as the remote, it's a Lippert LC 358601 and can be found many places including Etrailer, little pricey $233.95. How to make it work and it's functions look it up at RV-Project.com., I also wired up the slides.

Are you sure on the part number? Lippert has a USB charger cord for that item number... as does E-trailer.

Sorry this part number for the remote is hard to find. Google "lippert linc remote lc358601" and you will find it at Etrailer and Amazon. From that search is also some you tube video's about the remote, watch those first. You must have a "ground Control 3.0" for it to work.

3 inch channel from one side to the other. Box it in, strong, will not flex..
