Would really like to know how you guys store your electrical cables especially that 50amp one and the dog bones & surge protectors.

I went to Harbor Freight and purchased an air hose reel (about $20), mounted it on a 2 x 6 and it works slick for rolling up the 50a cord. Other stuff goes in a plastic box. I did screw the 2 x 6 down to the floor in a side basement door at the back of the 5er.

I did the same, only I store a 50' and a 25' 30 amp cords on it. We keep the 50 amp cord under the tri fold sofa. . . . .

Never thought about the Harbor Freight reel. Good call. Easier pill to swallow after spending all the Benjamins.

I have the same dilemma with the power cord but I don't have a good solution yet. What gets me is it's always dirty, muddy or just wet from the morning dew. It's also a beast when it's even a little bit cold. Usually, I throw it in the truck if I can't get it neat and clean.

But for the dog bones and things, I read here somewhere about mounting dummy plugs on the basement wall. Just plug them in and let em ride. That's on my to do list.

I use an old milk crate for our 50 amp cord. It all fits in the crate and is easy to lift and store in the basement. I keep shop towels handy to wipe it down as I put it in the crate.Click image for larger version.
