    Moisture-resistant Salt Shaker?

The wife is looking for a salt shaker that does a decent job of keeping salt dry in a camper. In the past, we've had little success with this. So, what do you use that seems to do a decent job? I'm thinking a salt grinder with course salt might be the way to go...

    Thoughts and suggestions?

    Gracias.

I thought that putting rice mixed in with the salt inside the salt shaker will keep the condensation down. Maybe I’m thinking of something else.

I recall grandma doing this decades ago. It can get quite humid in the summer time in the plains. It seemed to work well.......same reason it is shared to put your cell phone in rice if it gets wet to extract the moisture.

We just do the salt and pepper grinders these days. Fresh ground has the better smell and taste.

If you move to Arizona I can promise you that will never be an issue again. Think of all the money you'll save on rice

We just use sea salt and keep it in a pestle and mortar for grinding. Moisture has never been an issue even camping in SC which is very humid.

We use a small amount of rice in the salt shaker. Works well.

We use a course Grinder in Florida's humidity and have not had any issues. These medium to large size grinders from Samsclub is what we use.

A saltine cracker will work too. Restaurants did that years ago here in Oregon.
