2020 Reflection 303RLS 87 Gallon Grey Holding Tank

Anyone know the capacities of tank one and tank two? We seem to fill tank two rather quickly.

I have not measured but I believe both tanks are equal size. Our fresh water has always been our limiting factor when camping without hookups. If your grey water tank from the kitchen fills up first, you can always dump your dishwater in to the black tank to slow the filling of the tank.

    Bone,
You are correct. I think the OP is asking the size of each grey tank as there are two on the 303 which comprise the total

I would think they are about 47 gallons each. I don't think with how these things are made that they would use different size tanks. It would be simple to make all three the same with more for the water. I don't think the math works for 47 but it's so close to the black tank that it only makes sense for them to be the same.

You can also put an external shut-off valve (Valera makes one) on the end of your dump pipe. Keeping it closed, you can pull both valves on you grey tanks, allowing them to equalize. We’ve done this a couple of times, as the shower/bath sink fills first for us. Depending on where you are (such as a state park, without formal hookups), there may be a spot in the park for community water and dumping of grey water, like if you are tenting. You could dump your dish water there, if it’s allowed.

We have used the extra valve on the end of the waste line from the get-go. That way you can equalize the filling of the two gray tanks and they behave like one tank. You don't want to do this in cold weather, though, since the exposed part of the discharge line will freeze and crack... it would be a PITA to replace. When temps are forecast to get near or below freezing, I go back to keeping the tank valves closed and the discharge line empty.

Yeah - We went to the Valve after out 1st trip. ONLY because when I got home and decided to flush the tank again (I have a sewer hook up at home), when I took the cap off, there was residual "stuff" there. Not Nice. I had not thought about the longer drain lines on the new rig. THat made me buy the valve. I had never even thought about equalizing the tanks before.... Our third trip this year will be a test for that!
