If you crawl under the RV and look up, it's the black plastic material that finishes off the bottom of the RV.

    Corrugated plastic..
You may think it's too close off the open bottom of the entire rig..
    But it's not..
It's purpose is to hold up all of the completely loose unrestrained wiring..

So true! On our prior FR, there was so much restrained by the coroplast that it was a PITA to rehang after replacing the black tank gate valve.

I was actually torn when I typed that..
When I opened the coroplast under my 297RSTS what I saw was absolutely not funny in the least..
I am not as young as I once was nor in as good shape as I once was..
For a capable young man fixing things like this is not all that big of a deal..
    For me it is..
And what I see each and every time I look in any concealed space anywhere is just appalling..

LOL. OK, I’m well familiar with it. Have removed part of it a few times. I guess I did not know what the official name of it was.

    Thanks

The mess is just one example of many things we don't like about the way these things are built. But as long as we keep buying them, they will keep building them that way.

I'm guilty of that too. 😒

How much space can/did you gain by moving your wall?

I was able to move my wall about eight inches with just a little bit of clean up.
