The advantages to the 450 are the wider track front axle, I've driven them and they do turn much sharper than my 350 dually. The '20 will have the higher horsepower and torque ratings and the 10 speed transmission. The 450's are all 4:30 gears but with 10 speeds that's not a negative on the highway. The 450's all have 10 lug 19.5 tires/wheels and G rated 14 ply tires and for 2020 a 24K rated receiver hitch versus 21K like my 350. One of the coolest things is for 2020 is the pro trailer backup assist now and they put the 12 pin plug for the trailer camera up in the bed with the 7 pin plug now, no more buying the new plug housing and extension cable for the factory trailer camera. I ordered mine 12-17 and it will be here 1st week of March but that includes 2 weeks that Ford shuts down for Christmas so about the normal 8 weeks to get it. The price jump from 350 to 450 is really not that much. Yes more rebates are always nice to get but lets face it, it's an 88K plus truck than I plan to retire with, is 1-2000 in rebate really that much of a deal killer? Not to me.

There seems to be great deals to be had on this truck in Canada right now, up to $20K off on the higher trim models. What I am finding out is that they all come with 3:55 gearing. I have never towed heavy so this is all new to me. Are we good with this gearing for the 376th? I see others towing with the 450 with 4:33 gearing (I think). Is 3:55 adequate with today's new engines? And yes I know I will get all kinds of opinions , hopefully I hear from others with the same or similar combo.

Here is a YouTube from TFL with a 2020 F350 vs 2020 Chevy 3500 both dually’s. The ford has the 10 speed auto and 3.55 gears, the Chevy with a 10 speed and 3.4? gears. I was very surprised on the outcome. There is another video with the the 2020 Ram 3500, it did slightly better on the climb over the Chevy.

I myself traded my 2019 F350 DRW with 4.10 gears on a 2020 F350 SRW with 3.55 gears both diesels. The 2020 F350 has 1050 pound feet of torque, so far I’m very impressed with the new truck. By the way the 2020 F350 SRW has a 4561 payload, after weighing it with all the same stuff from the the dually it weighs 200 pounds less tipping the scales at 9020 pounds. I still have 3000 pounds extra for the rear axle at 3300 pounds total extra payload

We are towing about 15,000lbs. with a 2017 version of the same truck, you are looking at. Your total weight will be a little higher, but I'm sure you'll be fine. Our truck pulls our 5er with no problem what so ever.

This is exciting and mid boggling at the same time.

For what it's worth, I have the 2017 F-350 DRW with Dana M300 rear-end & have 4:10 gears. It's my daily driver & I tow about 1/3rd of the time. So far I've put well over 27,000 miles on it towing my Solitude all over the country with zero issues so far. I didn't buy it for the fuel economy, so I don't monitor that very closely. Just guessing, but I am probably averaging around 14-15 mpg combined (city/hwy/towing). Hope this helps. Good luck! -Diego
