If we’re talking about defending our home, mobile or not, pepper spray (or bear spray) & an air horn work will do the job. Of course, they have to be kept in an established place, readily available if needed. Don’t wanna be looking for them if the time comes.

Don’t bring Bear Spray to a gun fight. Most states allow you to carry a shotgun without a problem.

To each his own... you'll have to live with your choices for whatever manner you choose your defense.
Personally, I'd hate to spray someone (wt any spray)
    who's threatening me (or mine),
only to have them pull out a firearm, and THEN....
say to myself,..... "WTF were you thinking" ???

Maybe not as good as a side arm or Bear spray but I keep a solid wood baseball bat handy all the time. It is very effective and legal to carry in every state.

And not only is it considered a deadly weapon when used, it is one of the most likely weapons to cause death. My problem with it is limited range. I would like to be able to deal with the threat at a variety of ranges, further away being better.
