    Entertainment System Questions

Hello All, we are looking at a 2015 337RLS, well we actually haven't seen it in person but intended to make the over 1 hour drive to our nearest GD dealer later this week. Anyway, can someone tell me about the entertainment system, specifically:
1.) what size TV is in it?
2.) Is it a true HD TV? LED?
3.) Is the DVD player a Blu-ray player?
4.) Does it have true surround sound speakers?

    Thanks

    1.) 39"
    2.) yes, I don't think it's LED
    3.) no - but I think I read the 2015 is?
    4.) no
Maybe not the best quality stuff, but we are camping. ;-)

The TV is LED and the new 337's have Bluetooth. It you are looking at buying one off a dealer's lot, you will need to check that unit as the older ones were not Bluetooth.

Sound system is not great. I bought a soundbar with a wireless subwoofer, but did not check the TV outputs first. The soundbar only has a digital audio input. None on the TV so the soundbar is now in my home bedroom. The TV does have a couple of HDMI connections so you could add a compatible soundbar.

I would suggest that before buying you have them hook up the trailer to power and turn on the air. It is certainly not "Whisper Quiet."

Grand Design continues to improve their trailers.. All lighting is now LED, you can get a larger 4 door refrig. in the 337 (this I would really like).

Thanks for the responses. I just completely upgraded my entertainment center in my current trailer and was hoping I would not have to do it again This level of technology is so affordable and would be easily added during construction. Most manufacturers use the same Jensen crap all-in-one stereo units in these "mid-level" trailers. It really annoys me. I added a 39" LED HD TV (sounds like I wouldn't have to do that), a residential Samsung Blu-ray player and a Samsung Surround Sound Bar with the wireless subwoofer.

Why not remove some or all of your upgrades from your old unit and use them in the new one? I don't think it will make a difference in trade-in value. You might even get them to install the upgrades for you as part of the deal. I upgraded our sound bar to a Samsung with the wireless sub. BIG difference. Good luck.

I thought about that. I have a lot of items I could remove and transfer if I do use mine as a trade-in. I also have a new 1,000 watt pure sine wave inverter I would like to avoid buying again, my Steadyfast system, a brand new residential mattress, my 6 volt golf cart batteries and more.

I'd be taking everything I could out of your trade-in...usually all the dealership would care about is that everything is there and in working order. I wouldn't think that the dealer would care if you swapped the mattresses either. I kept everything I could off our old trailer including the SteadyFast system which is now on the 337.

OMG, I was going to ask about how stable the 337 is. Deb and I were going to jump all around in it to see. So are you glad you moved the Steadyfast over? Dumb question I guess since you did it. The rear stabilizers on the 337 seem so much further forward than on most 5th wheels to me. I didn't know if that would make it more stable or less.

The 337 is quite good but the SteadyFast stabilizers are still an improvement and the price was right. The location of the rear stabs is perfect as they prevent movement at the axles. I used to put a jackstand behind the axles, both sides to prevent movement on our old camper.
