    Momentum 351 tires

Mine came with the Westlake G rated tires. I was going to buy Sailuns to replace them, but, I cannot find any bad reports on the ones I have. ETrailer sells them and calls them their best trailer tire, with nothing but good reviews.

My question is, does anyone know of any failures on this tire? I know the 10 ply’s have issues, but it appears the 14 ply tires are much better.

    Thanks for your help,

Since I have Sailuns on our current Reflection and our new Solitude will have the Westlake LR Gs, I've been following this closely. I haven't read any reports of failures on the new Westlake LR Gs, so we're going to run them and see how they do.

The issues were with the E rated tires on the heavier units, like momentum’s. We have had the G rated for 2.5+ yrs on our 394M without issues. I don’t recall reading of any issues either.

We had tread separation just last weekend pulling our Reflection 323BHS home from a short trip. I was stupid not to ever replace them knowing all the issues, but was always ocd about tire pressure, not exceeding 65mph, etc. The fender needs to be replaced and it made a mess of the undercarriage. Still waiting on the repair estimate.

The Reflection is much lighter than any Momentum, so I don’t think weight is a factor

... but were/are your Westlakes the E or G rated version? It's the Es with the issues for the most part.

They are the E’s. I wouldn’t trust any Westlake tire though

So, we still have no evidence of a Westlake G failure.

E Trailer even markets them as their best Trailer tire.

The E’s are junk but the G’s appear to be a good product.
