Why do you have to remove the tailgate I have the same hitch and don't have to? I have to open mine a little bit to keep it from scraping the top of the tailgate. It's held open a couple of inches or so by a small bungee.

    fam5mel,
The new 2020 Chevrolet silverado HD is different than your 2016. Chevy made the bed a different length for 2020. Also the puck system has been changed so you will at least have to purchase a different base for your B&W hitch. So check with your chevy dealer on differences.

I'm using an Andersen hitch with a B&W Turnover ball in my Standard Bed F350. This photo was taken after installing the B&W offset ball to move the rig just a bit further back from the cab. Moving the ball back takes about 150lbs off my front axles.

I'm obviously OK with clearance on level ground, but could be in trouble if the Solitude is uphill from my truck.

    Best regards,
    Chris

That looks like 45-degrees to me. Maybe it's just the angle of the photo.

Probably right about there, but the worst point for likely cab contact. Beyond that and I'm pushing the trailer sideways more than I'm backing it into a space.

I used the opportunity to take note of what things look like in my side mirrors (daylight between the truck and front storage area of the trailer). So I know when things are about as extreme as I'm comfortable with.

You're welcome to run your own tests and post photos ;-)

    Best regards,

Yeah, unfortunately I didn't photograph my turn tests. I photographed mine from the side and gave everyone height/level information for some reason. WRT turning, mine was a narrower Reflection so I had an advantage.
