Pantry LED light strip
This is a 20 minute effort. The goal is to get some more light to the other shelves in the pantry. Good winter project.
Here is the default lighting. Great for the top shelf, but what is on the other shelves?
If you remove the cover, you can see the current LED lighting that is switched either manually or by motion.
Solder pre-tinned 20Gauge wire to the leads. Remember that camper wiring is like a house: black is +12V, white is neural or -ground
The LED light strip already has a sticker on the back of the ribbon. I will put a small staple on over the wires at the top so it does not weigh down the LED strip and un-stick from the inside wall of the pantry.
Trim the light socket and the cover with a dremmel tool to make room for the wire.
Wow, I found that dried Onion I was looking for all last season!
You can see the light source on the right side. It goes all the way to the floor and I can also see the cans on the floor of the pantry.
I hope this inspires others to work with these cheap LED light strips.

Be sure to watch a couple of videos on how to cut and solder wires to these lights.2015 Ford F350 6.7L TurboDiesel, Crew Cab, short bed SRW, 4x4, Lariat

That was first on the to do list when we first got or solitude. Being a 2017 it still has incandescent lights in the closets and such.
I put a strip under each shelf and a big one in the front bedroom closet.
I get mine on a 6m roll from superbrightleds.com
I use it everywhere.

We did that same thing about 3 yrs ago. It's such a simple mod , so simple I did it myself without a problem. GD should be doing this in production instead of lighting 1 shelf in a deep tall pantry.

My first mod was adding an LED strip down the side of the pantry door frame. I wired in a magnetic switch to the door so the light comes on when the door is opened. It was simple to splice into the power to the existing pantry light. Im going to do the same to the front closet eventually.

Thanks for the cool idea! I like to make my home more cozy and comfortable. And there was enough time for that during the pandemic. It's a pity that I didn't see your idea earlier, I would certainly have tried to implement it. But I managed to take care of the abandoned garden at my house. I didn't have time to do this before. But last spring I planted new plants and laid an artificial lawn. I recently discovered a wonderful lighting on https://trimthatweed.com/best-low-voltage-post-lights/. I ordered several types for the veranda and for the garden.
