Furrion FOS05TASF Obsewrvation Camera connection

I just purchased a FOS05TASF Furrion Vision 5 observation camera for my 2019 Reflection 315RLTS. What I discovered, the camera has a 2.5mm male jack but the trailer ready "Furrion" mount at the back of the trailer has a 3.5mm female jack. I could hard wired this by cutting off the female end ( at trailer) and using the supplied cable but thought maybe a 2.5mm female to 3.5mm male adapter would be easier. Would this work or has anyone ran into this problem with Furrion cameras?

The adapter should work fine, it's just pos and neg 12v power.


Edit: oops just looked at the link. You only want a two conductor adapter. (mono)
Interesting that Furrion would change the plug size. Hmmm

Not sure what that means... Are you referring to the camera only having 2 "black rings" where as the adapter has 3 "black rings" ? Not sure what the rings provide but the big question, would I damage the camera by using this adapter ?

Each part between the "black rings" is a conductor. They need to match to be sure it will work. Not sure why there are more than two conductors as it is only + & - sides of 12v.
