    Talking Solar Package

Would it be possible for GD to create an after market solar package to the Momentum 2014 355TH's like the other new 2015 GD units have now?

    Look up Furrion solar packages.

It is the exact stuff that GD uses.

Hi GD technical. Thank you for all of the help on this forum. I have a couple of questions. Concerning the Furrion solar packages, there are a couple offered. Could GD elaborate on which solar pkg. is being used on the 2015's? Also, I have a 2015 385 TH which I think has the wiring for solar up to the front bulkhead of the trailer with a wirenut. Could GD provide a wiring diagram for the solar set-up for this rig? Last question. I saw the solar bulkhead plug on the Furrion website. I was astonished at the price on $599.00. Is this true or did I misread their website. If the plug is that price, what is the dealer pricing for this plug?

You may be better to copy and paste this question to the tech corner. While I think the GD folks monitor different spots in this forum they definitely monitor the tech corner. Jancie from customer service is on the tech section almost daily!

Solar prep is only the Furrion bulkhead plug with wires to the battery.

You need the panels and controller to complete the system.

Our 2014 rig was not prewired, so I built my own 200 Watt system for about $400 including panels, monitor, cables and connectors. It is portable so I can move it around if there is too much shade on the ground. When I'm dry camping, I no longer have to use the generator to charge the batteries. Drop me a line if any of you want details.

Tucson Jim, this me dropping you a line for the details. Thank you in advance, and I have the 355TH 2014, and I am very interested in the solar package idea. Is the 200 watt system enough for your purposes, and/or mine? I am also considering a second battery for the FW. thanks again
