Whittle Burner.....I must accidentally snuck a post in while you were in the middle of posting.....sorry....please move it if you need or want to. Oh, and maybe you know the answer to my question.

I have a question for anyone that has attended this rally before...AND...has a pet. The pet policy makes it sound like if your pet is outside it has to be in a carrier....unless you are walking/exercising it, then it's OK to be on a leash no longer than 8 foot. Does this mean that if we are just sitting in lawn chairs outside under an awning the dog has to be in a carrier??....our can he be outside with us as long as he is kept on a leash? Please, someone that knows please clarify. We never take him outside the camper unless he is wearing his harness with a leash attached. He's 14 lbs of "lick you to death" tail wagging, has never met a stranger...bundle of Manchester Terrier.

We have almost always brought our dogs to the rallies. Keeping your dog on a tie out on your site while you are outside with it is fine. We haven't had any issues with that. be sure to keep your dog out from under the trailer next door. The sites are not very wide .
We don't even own a carrier, our Aussie is claustrophobic and we will not cage him.

As with most if not all campgrounds , don't leave your pet out on a line unattended

Thank you for the quick reply. I assumed that it would be OK, but just wanted to make sure. The wording in the Pet policy is definitely confusing. Thanks again, I appreciate the response.

Last year we took our doggie. This was her first trip in the RV.

We did a tie-out while we were inside with the door open. She did fine and let us know when she wanted to come in by rambling up the steps (she is 12 years old). We also walked her and she "made" several friends. The atmosphere is more dog friendly than I expected.

By the way, the RV next to us had five dogs, and I never heard a peep out of them. The RV behind us had a little doggie and he became fast friends with our dog. RV pet owners are the best!

I have one other question (at least for now) for those that have attended the rally previously. Do you really NEED 40' of sewer hose to connect up if you get a site with sewers? I've presently got two 10' pieces and I've never needed more than that at anywhere I've camped?

I've been in Area A and yes I needed 35' to 40' of sewer hose. And on the dog crate question it should have said "or" instead of "and". If you are with your dogs a leash is fine.

Thanks for you answer so quickly. I guess I'm going to have to buy another 20' of sewer hose for this trip............sounds like a sh!tty deal to me!
